Turn your wedding cake dreams into a reality with Alderbrook Resort & Spa’s award-winning pastry chef, Suzanne Dervaes. Suzanne works with brides and grooms to create the perfect cake for their special occasion.

Head Pastry Chef at Alderbrook Resort & Spa since 2006, Suzanne Dervaes is a classically trained French pastry chef, and graduate of the South Seattle French Pastry and Specialty Baking School. Suzanne oversees all dessert menus for the Restaurant at Alderbrook, as well as banquet desserts and wedding cakes. Her previous experience includes positions as the Salish Lodge Assistant Pastry Chef, Banquet Pastry Chef at Salty’s on Alki and Head Pastry Chef at McCormick Woods Golf. Winner of multiple awards for her intricate and stunning cake designs, Suzanne won the “Most Creative Cake” award at the Seattle Center’s 40th Anniversary Celebration and is a previous gold medal winner at both the American Culinary Federation regional and state competitions.
